Dunnage Air Bags will allow to effectively brace cargo loads in the truck. Compared to other bracing methods, dunnage air bags are the most effective and cheapest option.
How to position the dunnage bag?
Place the deflated dunnage air bag between the section of your load that require bracing.
Make sure you have full access to the inflation valve of the bag.
When positioning the bag, you can add a corrugated board on either side to prevent it from, rubbing against the pallet and bursting.
There are multiple types of dunnage bags
- Poly-Woven Dunnage air bags – These air bags are for medium to heavy duty loads.
- Vinyl dunnage bags – These bags will expand and contract with changes in altitude, which is useful for shipments that cross through mountain ranges. It’s water proof in nature allows to use effectively for refrigerated transport too.
- Kraft Dunnage Bags – These bags have an outer layer formed with multiple layers of Kraft paper and an inner part poly-ethylene. These type of dunnage is considered as most economical option and it comes in multiple sizes and strengths.
